The Internet is growing…

4x streaming traffic from 2018 to 2022

Due to the pandemic, streaming service adoption has accelerated, becoming the single largest source of internet traffic. 4k resolution streaming content requires a faster home network, which will ctontinue with the transition to 8k and beyond.

29B connected devices by 2023

A surge in internet of things (IoT) devices has dramatically increased bandwidth requirements with the average household expected to have over 50 connected devices by the end of 2022. The amount of data produced by these devices is expected to quadruple by 2025.

85% of all internet traffic will be streaming, gaming, and multimedia by 2022.

The metaverse is here. With companies like Meta pioneering new AR and VR technology, gaming experiences that utilize technology with 6 DoF are projected to need as much as 5 GB/Second to operate the device.

70% of workforce will work remotely at least 5 days/month by 2025

The workforce is changing. The pandemic has normalized the work from home shift, and advancements in AR and VR are creating new ways to engage with clients, colleagues, and communities, all from the comfort of your home. People need a network that can accommodate these changes, for reimagined remote working experiences.

10 Gbps FAQ’s

10 GB refers to the download and upload speed of up to 10 gigabytes per second, or 10,000 megabytes per second. With speeds like this, you can download a 4K movie in under a minute, stream hundreds of videos at once without disruption, gain an edge for your competitive gaming, enjoy new work from home capabilities, and maximize your metaverse experiences!

For those who are looking to maximize their online capabilities or to be first movers on all of the latest connected devices, this is the service for you. It is important to note that many devices cannot take advantage of these speeds due to hardware limitations, however, we can help with this. If you are interested in maximizing your internet experience, reach out to us to see if this service is right for you!

The short answer – it depends. If we have a fiber connection in a building, it may take two weeks or less to complete. If not, it may take longer to install the fiber directly to a home or a particular unit in a building.

Although the infrastructure will allow you to achieve 10 GB/S, limitations from the online resource you are using to evaluate the connection will result in a slower speed result. This does may not mean that you are not operating at the expected speed, only that the site running the test cannot evaluate speeds at that level.

There are minimum requirements for each device when it comes to maximizing your 10 GB experience. For example, if you are connecting a laptop or PC, you will want the following specifications:

    • Quad Core 3 GHz CPU or better – CPU is the central processor for your computer. The Quad refers to the number of individual CPU’s that you have, and the GHz or gigahertz indicates the processing power for each core. The more cores and GHz’s that you have, the more processing power you will receive.
    • 8GB RAM or higher – Think of RAM as the “short-term memory” for your computer. The more you have, the more programs you can run simultaneously and the faster your processing speeds will be.
    • 2048 MB Virtual RAM or better – Think of Virtual RAM as a backup to the standard RAM. If the temporary memory requires more space, the computer will allocate hard drive space to RAM based on this allocation.
    • 2 GB Hard Drive Space or more – Hard drive space is the computer’s “long-term memory” or where all of your data is stored. Most devices today have more than enough capacity for all storage needs.
    • 10 GB/S NIC (Network Interface Card) or higher – This is typically the limiting factor for connected devices. The network interface card that comes standard on most computers is well below the requirements needed for 10 GB speeds. However, 10 GB NIC’s are relatively inexpensive and can be installed on your device to maximize its online potential!

10 GB solutions require expensive equipment to run, but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We will provide everything you need to take advantage of our service! The most important component for the resident is the router. If you prefer to use your own, that works, but it will need to be 10 GB capable in order to achieve the desired speeds.
